About Marriage Mentors
When Dewey and Lynne Wilson agreed to meet with some friends in 2002, they were simply hoping to help them salvage their marriage of almost 20 years. They had no idea what God was about to do in their own life. The Wilsons witnessed God save their friend's marriage, but maybe just as important, their own marriage was enriched beyond imagination. All through a process called mentoring. Within months, more couples sought out Dewey and Lynne and before long, the demand on their time was so great, it was evident God was taking Dewey away from his career of building multi-million dollar homes to another home building career, only this time not using sticks and bricks.
Over the years, more couples just like the Wilsons have become involved in marriage mentoring. Along with their God-given vision, Dewey and Lynne used the early mentoring experiences of these couples to developed a process that has currently helped almost 200 couples in 4 states enrich or restore their marriage. This process is distinctively centered around materials mainly developed by Marriage Mentors, but uses a myriad of resources already in place. This discipleship process challenges husbands and wives to learn basic truths from God's word first, then apply these truths to their marriage relationship.
We are not counselors
Marriage Mentors are not counselors, but they are passionate about enriching and restoring marriages. We refuse to buy into the status quo, “divorce is acceptable,” attitude that much of our culture accepts and even promotes. Therefore, we work hard to establish the most practical transferable tools that will help mentors produce positive measurable results.
Marriage Mentors is a successful non-profit 501(c)3, which operates through the financial gifts, prayers, resource income and volunteer efforts of people and organizations who want to reverse the current trend of divorce in our society.
